Ocean Park Hong Kong – World’s Largest Oceanarium and Attractions for the Whole Family

If you are on vacation in Hong Kong, how about visiting an oceanarium? If that sounds interesting to you, take a trip to the world’s largest oceanarium – Ocean Park, Hong Kong. Spanning across the Nam Long Shan Hill and Wong Chuk Hang areas in Southern District, the park is home to a lot of marine mammals and fish species. Established during 1977, the park is being operated as a marine mammal park, animal theme park, aquarium and amusement park.

Ocean Park is classified into major sections like rides, animal exhibits and shows. You will get a chance to meet giant pandas, alligators, sea lions and around thousands of marine life and hundreds of birds. Different venues in the park offer entertaining shows for visitors that contain skilled performance of animal stars.

Some of the highlights of the Park include the Atoll Reef – a 4 floored, high aquarium that is home to magnificent coral reefs and more than 2000 fishes from 250 different species. The aviary is another popular attraction that contains around 750 birds from 70 different species. Rides at the Park induce thrill and action! The 20 rides cover a large area and let you explore and enjoy the mind-blowing views in your life.

Test your ability to resist high G-forces by trying Ferris Wheel and Space Wheel! Sail like the wind with Raging River and Frog Hopper and Bungee Trampoline welcomes you to skip like a frog. Kids are offered a lot of fun rides like Clown A Round, Merry-go-round and Balloon up-and-away. Adrenaline seekers can satisfy their craving at the Dragon. It will spin you 360 degrees on big corkscrews.

The Mine Train invites you to buckle up for a crazy ride above the ocean! Another major attraction is The Abyss Turbo Drop, which offers you a chilling thrill of a free fall. At the Tower, you can take a panoramic view that covers the islands, Aberdeen, ocean and the horizon. This locates at the top of 200 meter high promontory and with a height of 72 meters, being considered as the highest observation tower of Southeast Asia.
